KeepUp Privacy Policy, Terms, and Data Deletion Policy

KeepUp is created and operated by AppsByLogik. These policies apply to the KeepUp mobile app, related app features, support requests, cloud backup features, local backup features, service history, reminders, subscriptions, ads, exports, and account/data deletion requests.

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

KeepUp is a maintenance, repair, cleaning, and service tracking app for things users own. It helps users organize recurring upkeep tasks, service history, parts, receipts, notes, reminders, and records for home systems, vehicles, appliances, yard equipment, tools, machines, computers, 3D printers, and other personal property.

2. Information You May Enter

KeepUp may store information you choose to enter into the app, including:

• Email address for Firebase account sign-in
• Item names and categories
• Vehicle details, such as year, make, model, VIN, license plate, oil type, and tire size
• Home system, appliance, tool, machine, computer, yard, or equipment details
• Filter sizes, model numbers, serial numbers, locations, and other item details
• Maintenance task types and recurring maintenance schedules
• Service, repair, cleaning, and maintenance history
• Notes, parts used, costs, dates, and completion details
• Receipt/photo labels or attached service-related images, depending on feature use
• Local backup files and exported files
• Cloud backup data if you sign in and use Pro cloud backup

3. Local Data Storage

Most KeepUp data is stored locally on your device. This may include items, categories, item details, maintenance schedules, recurring task settings, completed service history, notes, parts used, costs, dates, photos, labels, app settings, and preferences.

If you delete the app, clear app data, lose your device, or delete local backup files, locally stored data may be lost unless you have created a backup or used cloud backup.

4. Local Backup and Restore

KeepUp may allow you to create local backup files and restore data from local backup files. Local backup files may contain item details, schedules, maintenance history, notes, parts, costs, dates, receipt/photo labels, service-related images, and settings.

You are responsible for where you save, store, upload, share, or delete those backup files. Keep backup files in a secure location and avoid sharing them with anyone who should not have access to your property, vehicle, equipment, or service records.

5. Firebase Account Sign-In

KeepUp may use Firebase Authentication for email/password sign-in. If you create or use an account, Firebase Authentication may process your email address and authentication information so you can sign in, reset your password, and access cloud backup features.

Forgot password emails and authentication flows are handled through Firebase Authentication.

6. Pro Cloud Backup and Restore

If you subscribe to KeepUp Pro, sign in, and choose to use cloud backup, app data may be backed up to Firebase services. Firebase Firestore may be used for cloud backup records, and Firebase Storage may be used for service images, receipt images, or other attached images if image backup is enabled.

Cloud backup data may include item information, category details, maintenance schedules, service history, notes, parts used, costs, dates, completion details, receipt/photo labels, service-related images, and related app data needed to restore your records.

7. Reminders, Notifications, Calendar Views, and Service History

KeepUp may use your entered schedules and completed task details to show upcoming maintenance in agenda, weekly, or monthly calendar views. KeepUp may also allow you to search service history and export service history.

If you enable maintenance notifications, KeepUp may schedule local device notifications to remind you when tasks are due. Notification delivery depends on device permissions, operating system settings, battery settings, system availability, and your notification preferences.

Reminder dates, recurring schedules, notifications, and calendar views are based on information you enter and app logic. They may not reflect official service intervals or manufacturer requirements.

8. Exports

KeepUp may allow you to export service history or maintenance records, including Excel and PDF exports. Exported files may include item names, categories, item details, maintenance schedules, completed tasks, parts, costs, dates, notes, and service details.

Once you export, save, print, email, upload, or share a file, you are responsible for protecting that exported file.

9. How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

• Save, display, search, and organize items you own
• Create and manage maintenance task types by category
• Schedule recurring maintenance, cleaning, repair, or service tasks
• Show upcoming maintenance in agenda, weekly, or monthly calendar views
• Send local maintenance notifications if enabled
• Save completion details when tasks are marked done
• Track service, repair, cleaning, and maintenance history
• Store notes, parts used, costs, dates, and service details
• Export service history
• Provide local backup and restore
• Provide Pro cloud backup and restore if enabled
• Authenticate users for cloud backup
• Process subscription status and unlock Pro features
• Show banner ads to free users
• Respond to support, privacy, or data deletion requests
• Maintain app functionality, security, and compliance

10. Data Sharing

AppsByLogik does not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by third-party services when needed to provide app features, such as Firebase sign-in, Firebase cloud backup, Google Play subscriptions, Google Play services, and Google AdMob ads.

Information may also be shared if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to comply with app store, legal, or platform requirements.

11. Third-Party Services

KeepUp may use third-party services including:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Firestore
• Firebase Storage
• Google Play Billing
• Google AdMob
• Google Play services

These services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Data Security

KeepUp uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. Cloud data is transmitted using secure connections provided by Firebase/Google services. Firebase services may encrypt data in transit and at rest according to Google/Firebase infrastructure practices.

However, no method of electronic storage, cloud storage, or internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, account password, exported files, and local backup files.

13. Data Retention

Locally stored app data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Cloud backup data may remain stored in Firebase until you delete it through app features, request deletion, or it is removed according to AppsByLogik's data practices and technical limitations.

Support emails and data deletion requests may be retained as needed to respond to your request, maintain records, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or satisfy app store requirements.

14. Children's Privacy

KeepUp is intended for users who manage maintenance, repair, cleaning, service, and property records. It is not directed to children under 13. AppsByLogik does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through KeepUp.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using KeepUp, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. App Purpose

KeepUp is provided as a maintenance, cleaning, repair, service history, reminder, backup, and organization tool. It is intended to help users organize records and reminders for things they own.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, the schedules you create, the work you perform, the service history you save, the parts and costs you record, the files you export, and the backups you create.

You agree not to misuse KeepUp, interfere with app security, attempt unauthorized access to cloud services, upload unlawful content, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or platform rules.

4. No Guarantee of Maintenance Accuracy

KeepUp does not guarantee that any reminder, notification, schedule, interval, task, or service record is complete, correct, safe, warranty-compliant, or appropriate for your specific item, vehicle, appliance, home system, tool, machine, or equipment.

5. Availability and Changes

AppsByLogik may update, change, remove, or discontinue app features, Pro features, ads, pricing, backup options, export options, notification features, or policies at any time as allowed by law and app store rules.

6. Intellectual Property

KeepUp, AppsByLogik, app designs, logos, layouts, text, graphics, app structure, and related materials are owned by AppsByLogik or used with permission unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, resell, modify, or redistribute the app or its content except as allowed by law.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

KeepUp is provided "as is" and "as available." AppsByLogik makes no warranties, express or implied, about uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, data accuracy, reminder accuracy, notification delivery, export accuracy, backup availability, suitability for maintenance decisions, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, AppsByLogik is not liable for losses, damages, injuries, repair costs, service costs, property damage, missed maintenance, warranty issues, lost records, subscription issues, data loss, backup failures, notification failures, device issues, third-party service interruptions, or decisions made based on KeepUp records, schedules, or reminders.

Subscriptions, Purchases, and Ads

1. Free Version

The free version of KeepUp may include banner ads through Google AdMob.

2. Pro Subscription

KeepUp may offer monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions. Pro may unlock cloud backup/restore, Excel/PDF exports, and remove ads while the subscription is active.

3. Google Play Billing

Subscriptions and purchases are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play's billing, cancellation, and refund policies. AppsByLogik does not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

4. Managing Subscriptions

You can manage, cancel, or review your subscription through your Google Play account. If you cancel, Pro access may continue until the end of the current billing period, depending on Google Play's rules.

5. Ads

Google AdMob may collect or process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app activity, ad interactions, diagnostics, or other data used to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads. Ads are hidden for Pro users while their subscription is active.

Account and Data Deletion Policy

1. Local Data

Most KeepUp data is stored locally on your device. You may delete local records inside the app where deletion options are available. You may also remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device settings.

2. Local Backup Files and Exported Files

Local backup files and exported service history files are controlled by you. Deleting app data or requesting cloud deletion does not automatically delete files you saved, emailed, uploaded, printed, or stored outside the app.

3. Cloud Backup Data and Account Deletion

If you used Pro cloud backup, you may request deletion of cloud backup data associated with your KeepUp account. If you request account deletion, AppsByLogik will delete or disable the Firebase Authentication account and associated KeepUp cloud backup data that can reasonably be identified, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, accounting, support, or compliance reasons.

You can request account and cloud data deletion outside the app by emailing appsbylogik@gmail.com with the subject "KeepUp Data Deletion Request".

Please include:

• The app name: KeepUp
• The email address used for Firebase sign-in
• A clear request to delete your KeepUp account data or cloud backup data

4. Deletion Timeframe

Deletion requests are generally processed within 30 days after AppsByLogik has enough information to verify and complete the request.

5. Deletion Limits

Deletion requests apply to data AppsByLogik can reasonably identify and delete from KeepUp cloud backup systems. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, app store compliance, dispute handling, or support history purposes.

Maintenance, Repair, and Safety Disclaimers

KeepUp is an organization and reminder tool. It does not provide professional repair, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, automotive, legal, financial, warranty, or safety advice.

Maintenance schedules, recurring reminders, notifications, service history, notes, parts lists, costs, dates, categories, and calendar views are for organization only. They are not a substitute for official manuals, manufacturer instructions, warranty documents, qualified service technicians, licensed contractors, mechanics, electricians, HVAC professionals, or other qualified professionals.

You are responsible for confirming maintenance requirements, service intervals, safety procedures, warranty requirements, repair decisions, parts compatibility, and proper use of tools or equipment with qualified professionals or official manuals.

Do not perform repairs, maintenance, electrical work, HVAC work, automotive work, machine service, or other potentially dangerous tasks unless you are qualified and can do so safely. When in doubt, contact a qualified professional.

Changes to These Policies

AppsByLogik may update these policies from time to time. When changes are made, the updated policies will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of KeepUp after changes means you accept the updated policies.
