HustleProof Privacy Policy, Terms, and Data Deletion Policy

HustleProof is created and operated by AppsByLogik. These policies apply to the HustleProof mobile app, related app features, support requests, cloud backup features, local backup features, reports, exports, subscriptions, ads, and account/data deletion requests.

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

HustleProof is a receipt, expense, and deduction tracking app for side hustlers, small businesses, creators, gig workers, Etsy sellers, freelancers, and people who need organized proof of business expenses.

HustleProof helps users save receipts, track expenses, organize deductible and non-deductible purchases, group expenses by business or project, view summaries, search records, create local backups, use optional cloud backup, and export reports for bookkeeping or tax preparation.

2. Information You May Enter

HustleProof may store information you choose to enter into the app, including:

  • Email address for Firebase account sign-in
  • Receipt photos or scanned receipt images
  • Expense amounts
  • Vendor or store names
  • Expense dates
  • Expense categories
  • Payment method labels
  • Business or project names
  • Notes
  • Deductible or non-deductible status
  • Company or profile information used for report personalization
  • Local backup files
  • Exported CSV or PDF reports
  • Cloud backup data if you sign in and use Pro cloud backup

3. Local Data Storage

Most HustleProof data is stored locally on your device. This may include receipts, expenses, receipt photos, categories, projects, business groups, dashboard data, report settings, profile settings, app preferences, and local backup data.

If you delete the app, clear app data, lose your device, or delete local backup files, locally stored data may be lost unless you have created a backup or used cloud backup.

4. Local Backup and Restore

HustleProof may allow you to create local backup files and restore data from local backup files. Local backup files may contain receipts, receipt photos, expense records, business/project names, notes, deductible status, categories, profile information, preferences, and related app data.

You are responsible for where you save, store, upload, share, or delete those backup files. Keep backup files in a secure location and avoid sharing them with anyone who should not have access to your business, financial, receipt, or expense records.

5. Firebase Account Sign-In

HustleProof may use Firebase Authentication for email/password sign-in. If you create or use an account, Firebase Authentication may process your email address and authentication information so you can sign in, reset your password, and access cloud backup features.

Forgot password emails and authentication flows are handled through Firebase Authentication.

6. Pro Cloud Backup and Restore

If you subscribe to HustleProof Pro, sign in, and choose to use cloud backup, app data may be backed up to Firebase services. Firebase Firestore may be used for cloud backup records, and Firebase Storage may be used for receipt images or other attached images if image backup is enabled.

Cloud backup data may include receipt information, receipt images, expense records, categories, business/project names, notes, deductible status, company/profile information, preferences, and related app data needed to restore your records.

7. Reports and Exports

HustleProof may allow you to export CSV and PDF reports. Exported reports may include expense totals, monthly totals, yearly totals, category breakdowns, deduction summaries, receipt details, vendor names, business/project names, notes, deductible status, and company/profile information.

Once you export, save, print, email, upload, or share a report, you are responsible for protecting that exported file.

8. How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

  • Save, display, search, and organize receipts and expenses
  • Create dashboards, summaries, monthly totals, yearly totals, and deduction summaries
  • Create category breakdowns, CSV reports, and PDF reports
  • Personalize reports with company/profile information
  • Provide local backup and restore
  • Provide Pro cloud backup and restore if enabled
  • Store receipt images if you attach or back up images
  • Authenticate users for cloud backup
  • Process subscription status and unlock Pro features
  • Show banner ads to free users
  • Respond to support, privacy, or data deletion requests
  • Maintain app functionality, security, and compliance

9. Data Sharing

AppsByLogik does not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by third-party services when needed to provide app features, such as Firebase sign-in, Firebase cloud backup, Firebase image storage, Google Play subscriptions, Google Play services, and Google AdMob ads.

Information may also be shared if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to comply with app store, legal, or platform requirements.

10. Third-Party Services

HustleProof may use third-party services including:

  • Firebase Authentication
  • Firebase Firestore
  • Firebase Storage
  • Google Play Billing
  • Google AdMob
  • Google Play services

These services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Data Security

HustleProof uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. Cloud data is transmitted using secure connections provided by Firebase/Google services. Firebase services may encrypt data in transit and at rest according to Google/Firebase infrastructure practices.

However, no method of electronic storage, cloud storage, or internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, account password, exported reports, receipt images, and local backup files.

12. Data Retention

Locally stored app data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Cloud backup data may remain stored in Firebase until you delete it through app features, request deletion, or it is removed according to AppsByLogik's data practices and technical limitations.

Support emails and data deletion requests may be retained as needed to respond to your request, maintain records, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or satisfy app store requirements.

13. Children's Privacy

HustleProof is intended for users who manage expenses, receipts, side hustles, small businesses, freelance work, or similar records. It is not directed to children under 13. AppsByLogik does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through HustleProof.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using HustleProof, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. App Purpose

HustleProof is provided as a receipt, expense, deduction organization, backup, and reporting tool. It is intended to help users organize records and export information for bookkeeping or tax preparation.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, the records you keep, the reports you export, the backups you create, and the decisions you make based on your records.

You agree not to misuse HustleProof, interfere with app security, attempt unauthorized access to cloud services, upload unlawful content, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or platform rules.

4. No Guarantee of Tax Outcome

HustleProof does not guarantee that any expense will qualify as a deduction, that reports will satisfy tax authority requirements, or that records will be accepted by an accountant, tax preparer, government agency, court, or other third party.

5. Availability and Changes

AppsByLogik may update, change, remove, or discontinue app features, Pro features, ads, pricing, backup options, reports, exports, or policies at any time as allowed by law and app store rules.

6. Intellectual Property

HustleProof, AppsByLogik, app designs, logos, layouts, text, graphics, app structure, and related materials are owned by AppsByLogik or used with permission unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, resell, modify, or redistribute the app or its content except as allowed by law.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

HustleProof is provided "as is" and "as available." AppsByLogik makes no warranties, express or implied, about uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, data accuracy, report accuracy, backup availability, tax suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, AppsByLogik is not liable for losses, damages, tax issues, business losses, lost records, lost profits, subscription issues, data loss, backup failures, export issues, device issues, third-party service interruptions, or decisions made based on HustleProof records or reports.

Subscriptions, Purchases, and Ads

1. Free Version

The free version of HustleProof may include banner ads through Google AdMob.

2. Pro Subscription

HustleProof may offer monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions. Pro may unlock cloud backup/restore, CSV/PDF exports, receipt photo backup, cross-device restore, and remove ads while the subscription is active.

3. Google Play Billing

Subscriptions and purchases are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play's billing, cancellation, and refund policies. AppsByLogik does not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

4. Managing Subscriptions

You can manage, cancel, or review your subscription through your Google Play account. If you cancel, Pro access may continue until the end of the current billing period, depending on Google Play's rules.

5. Ads

Google AdMob may collect or process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app activity, ad interactions, diagnostics, or other data used to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads. Ads are hidden for Pro users while their subscription is active.

Account and Data Deletion Policy

1. Local Data

Most HustleProof data is stored locally on your device. You may delete local records inside the app where deletion options are available. You may also remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device settings.

2. Local Backup Files and Exported Reports

Local backup files and exported CSV/PDF reports are controlled by you. Deleting app data or requesting cloud deletion does not automatically delete files you saved, emailed, uploaded, printed, or stored outside the app.

3. Cloud Backup Data and Account Deletion

If you used Pro cloud backup, you may request deletion of cloud backup data associated with your HustleProof account. If you request account deletion, AppsByLogik will delete or disable the Firebase Authentication account and associated HustleProof cloud backup data that can reasonably be identified, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, accounting, support, or compliance reasons.

You can request account and cloud data deletion outside the app by emailing appsbylogik@gmail.com with the subject "HustleProof Data Deletion Request".

Please include:

  • The app name: HustleProof
  • The email address used for Firebase sign-in
  • A clear request to delete your HustleProof account data or cloud backup data

4. Deletion Timeframe

Deletion requests are generally processed within 30 days after AppsByLogik has enough information to verify and complete the request.

5. Deletion Limits

Deletion requests apply to data AppsByLogik can reasonably identify and delete from HustleProof cloud backup systems. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, app store compliance, dispute handling, or support history purposes.

Tax, Legal, Accounting, and Financial Disclaimers

HustleProof is an organization and recordkeeping tool. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, business, or professional advice.

Deduction labels, deductible status, category summaries, reports, monthly totals, yearly totals, and dashboard information are for organization only. They are not a determination that an expense is legally deductible or accepted for tax purposes.

You are responsible for reviewing your records, confirming deductions, keeping proper documentation, meeting filing deadlines, and consulting a qualified tax professional, accountant, attorney, or financial advisor for your situation.

Changes to These Policies

AppsByLogik may update these policies from time to time. When changes are made, the updated policies will be posted with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of HustleProof after changes means you accept the updated policies.
