Privacy Policy

BrainJar is a notes, organization, and productivity app created to help users save notes, folders, checklists, websites, voice notes, files, sketches, and secure notes in one place. This Privacy Policy explains what information BrainJar may collect, how it is used, and what choices users have.

Information You Provide

BrainJar may store information that you choose to enter into the app, including:

• Notes and note titles
• Folders and subfolders
• Checklists, lists, headings, and formatting choices
• Website/bookmark records
• Voice notes, drawings, images, and file attachment records
• Secure note status and local PIN-related settings
• App preferences, settings, and theme choices

Most BrainJar data is stored locally on your device unless you enable cloud sync or use account-based features.

Account and Cloud Sync Data

If you choose to sign in and use cloud sync, BrainJar may use Firebase services to store and sync your app data across devices. This may include your email address, user account ID, notes, folders, settings, website records, favorites, priorities, secure note flags, and backup data.

Cloud sync is optional and may require BrainJar Pro. If you do not sign in or enable sync, your notes remain stored locally on your device.

Files, Attachments, Voice Notes, and Drawings

BrainJar may allow users to attach files, images, drawings, or voice notes. These items may be stored locally on the device. Some attachment records, such as file names or paths, may be included in local backups or cloud sync records if those features are enabled.

Secure Notes and PIN

BrainJar includes a Secure Notes feature that lets users protect certain notes with a local PIN. This feature is intended for privacy within the app on your device. It is not a replacement for full device encryption, legal-grade data protection, or a password manager.

Users are responsible for keeping their device, account, and PIN secure.

Automatically Collected Information

BrainJar may collect limited diagnostic or technical information through third-party services, such as Firebase, Google Play, or advertising providers. This may include:

• Crash logs
• Diagnostics
• Device type and operating system information
• App performance data
• Advertising identifiers where applicable
• Purchase status and subscription information

Advertising

The free version of BrainJar may show ads. Ads may be provided by third-party advertising services, such as Google AdMob. These services may use device identifiers, ad identifiers, or similar technologies to show, measure, and improve ads.

Users may upgrade to BrainJar Pro or purchase Remove Ads Only, if available, to remove ads from the app.

Purchases and Subscriptions

BrainJar may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, including BrainJar Pro and Remove Ads Only. Purchases are processed through Google Play. BrainJar does not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

Google Play may provide BrainJar with purchase status, subscription status, product ID, and transaction-related information needed to unlock paid features.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

• Provide note-taking and organization features
• Save and restore app data
• Sync data across devices if enabled
• Unlock Pro or paid features
• Show or remove ads depending on purchase status
• Improve app stability and performance
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues
• Respond to support requests

Data Sharing

BrainJar does not sell your personal notes or app data. However, some information may be processed by third-party services used to operate the app, such as:

• Google Play for purchases and subscriptions
• Firebase for authentication, cloud sync, storage, diagnostics, or crash reporting
• Google AdMob or other ad providers for ads in the free version

These third-party services process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Local Backups and Exports

BrainJar may allow users to create local backups or export notes. Users are responsible for protecting exported files, backup files, DOCX files, TXT files, ZIP files, or shared content after they leave the app.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or use in-app delete features. Cloud data may remain stored until you delete it, disable sync where applicable, or request deletion.

Data Deletion

You can delete notes, folders, attachments, and other saved content inside the app. You may also uninstall BrainJar or clear app data from your device settings to remove local data.

To request deletion of cloud account data associated with BrainJar, contact: appsbylogik@gmail.com. Please include the email address used for BrainJar sync so the request can be located.

Children’s Privacy

BrainJar is not intended for children under 13. The app is intended for general productivity and note organization. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through BrainJar, contact us so we can review and delete the information where appropriate.

Security

BrainJar uses reasonable measures to protect app data, but no app, device, internet connection, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their devices, accounts, backups, exported files, and PINs.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of BrainJar after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using BrainJar, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Use of the App

BrainJar is provided as a productivity and note organization tool. You are responsible for the content you create, save, attach, export, back up, or share using the app.

You agree not to use BrainJar to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Store or share unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content
• Attempt to interfere with the app, servers, or services
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or misuse the app
• Access another user’s data without permission

No Guarantee of Data Loss Prevention

BrainJar is designed to help users save and organize notes, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost. Users are responsible for maintaining backups of important notes, exports, attachments, and files.

Secure Notes Disclaimer

Secure Notes are intended to provide privacy within the app. They are not guaranteed to provide full encryption, legal-grade protection, or protection against all forms of unauthorized access.

Paid Features

BrainJar may offer paid features, including BrainJar Pro, Remove Ads Only, cloud sync, advanced exports, DOCX export, TXT export, batch export, and folder ZIP export. Paid features may require an active subscription or purchase through Google Play.

Subscriptions

BrainJar Pro subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Google Play account before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.

Subscription pricing, features, and availability may change. Any changes will be handled through Google Play and applicable app updates.

Refunds

Purchases and subscription refunds are handled according to Google Play’s refund policies. BrainJar does not directly process payment card refunds.

Ads

The free version of BrainJar may display ads. Ads may be removed by upgrading to BrainJar Pro or purchasing Remove Ads Only, if available.

App Availability

BrainJar may be updated, changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. Some features may require internet access, a compatible device, Google Play services, Firebase services, or an active purchase.

No Professional Advice

BrainJar is a general note-taking and organization app. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, security, or professional advice. Any information stored in the app is created and managed by the user.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, AppsByLogik is not responsible for lost notes, lost files, lost backups, lost exports, missed information, device issues, service interruptions, purchase issues, unauthorized access, or damages resulting from use or inability to use BrainJar.

Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to BrainJar services if the app is misused, if these Terms are violated, or if required by law or platform policies.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of BrainJar after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Subscription Policy

BrainJar may offer a Pro subscription that unlocks additional features.

BrainJar Pro May Include

• No ads
• Cloud sync across devices
• Export notes as TXT files
• Export notes as DOCX files
• Batch export notes
• Export full folders as ZIP files
• Other Pro-only tools added in future updates

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

Managing or Canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account subscriptions page. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.

Remove Ads Only

BrainJar may offer a separate Remove Ads Only purchase. This purchase removes ads but may not include all BrainJar Pro features such as cloud sync or advanced exports.

Data Deletion Policy

Users may delete local BrainJar data inside the app by deleting notes, folders, attachments, website records, and other saved content. Users may also clear app data or uninstall BrainJar from their device.

If you use cloud sync and want your cloud account data deleted, contact: appsbylogik@gmail.com.

Please include:

• The email address used for BrainJar
• A clear request to delete BrainJar cloud data
• Any other information needed to identify the account

We may need to verify account ownership before deleting cloud data. Deleted data may not be recoverable.
